Tomahawk & Chimichurri, perfect partners
I cooked this Tomahawk on the grill. Once my fire was ready I started moving some white embers underneath the grill. I had about 20 cm distance between the embers and the meat.
Salt & Pepper
To prepare your chimichurri combine the desired amount of the dry mix with the same amount of water, oil and vinegar.
Mix well and set aside.
Hereford Beef Tomahawk
I first put it on the grill on its side to sear that side of the fat.
Grill for 5-7 minutes
Lie your Tomahawk on one of its sides and grill for between 13-15 minutes
Turn it to the other side and brush with chimichurri. Grill for another 13-15 minutes. Brush the other side once it’s ready to be turned around with some chimichurri as well.
Remove from the grill, cover in foil and let your tomahawk rest for around 10 minutes.
Slice, drizzle some more chimichurri on top and enjoy!
You can accompany this with your favourite sides. We prepared a mixed leaves salad, and a tomato, carrot and sweetcorn salad to go with ours.
