The meal was amazing. We enjoyed everything. The only negative feedback is that the lobster was very thin - there was no more than one mouthful of meat inside each portion (half) meaning our starter was over in seconds!
So pleased to hear you found the meal amazing, Laura!
Our Scottish lobsters aren't huge, that's absolutely correct. This is why this box was designed for 2 instead of the usual 3 or 4 servings our previous ones had had. This is also why Fran created the starting part of this meal to have your burrata, your piquillo peppers, your Malbec sourdough and also your lobster.
Thank you for taking the time to offer us your thoughts, once again, we're pleased you enjoyed your Fazenda at Home Box. Natalia
Fabulous food, great portion sizes. Clear instructions to follow. Great night had
So amazing to hear you thoroughly enjoyed this Box, Alexandra! Thank you for taking the time to review it here - Natalia
The food was incredible, almost as it would be in the restaurant even without the brilliant chef! On top of which it was excellent value for money - I would definitely order from fazenda at home again!
Nothing could make us happier, thank you, Cat.
So lovely to hear you enjoyed our Fazenda at Home Box - February Edition! Thank you for taking the time to review it - Natalia
I ordered the February box as a surprise for valentines. The food was amazing and we cooked together the lobster which we had never attempted before! The wine was great too. In these challenging times it made our Valentine’s Day special. Thank you Fazaenda!
That was the goal! To be able to offer you all an at-home experience to celebrate this special occasion. Thank you for your lovely feedback, Pat; we're delighted you enjoyed it - Natalia
A small ingredient missing from the box which wasn't a big deal but for the price was disappointing. Starter was too much of one thing. Could have been more imaginative and flavoursome given the epic salad bar at the restaurants. All our fire alarms went off (3 floors) searing the meat with kitchen fire door shut and windows open. Lobster was a lot of work for very little. Meat was very fatty and actually didn't get much once the fat was cut away. Wine was lovely and dessert. Overall we were disappointed. You'll need an oven with 3 shelves too! Won't be recommending it to anyone else. Didn't come close to the expectations.
We're sad to hear this, Hayley. It sounds like it was not your cup of tea indeed.
When Fran designs each monthly edition for this box he always thinks of quality of products, simplicity of preparation and delicious results. He cooks everything in his home when creating the cooking guide to ensure it's doable for all of us, without specialised equipment as not all of us will have those available.
As you say you need to use 3 levels of your oven as things cook at the same time. This is so as to simplify the cooking process, instead of having us cooking every single thing at different times. Otherwise you'd have things going cold while you cook the rest, and that would not be ideal.
This bone-in Aberdeen Angus ribeye does have quite a high level of marbling but it shouldn't have been overly fatty. If that was the case do get in touch with us. The same applies if you didn't contact us regarding the missing ingredient. We are not perfect, we make mistakes, but we are always here to help our guests and customers. - Natalia
