This is the sweet version of our chorizo due to the unique type of paprika used. Please note this chorizo needs to be cooked.
They're perfect on the barbecue, stews and sandwiches due to their size and how quickly they cook.
In Spain this sausage is air-dried and lightly smoked. It's made mainly from pork meat and marinated with spices - paprika being the main one - which makes it the most distinctive type of chorizo, and also gives it its characteristic red colour.
For a sausage to be called chorizo in Spain it must contain paprika and garlic. This is also what makes it different to chorizos from other countries.
